ABOUT
I'm an Australian based in Perth, and I've previously spent nine years between Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.
I have an honours degree in marine science and masters in environmental management. My career has included research, government policy and environmental consulting in Asia and Australia. I've worked with oysters, whales and tourists on the Great Barrier Reef.
As a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers (ASTW), I have won several awards. Winner of best story on sustainable tourism in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2024. Runner-up for best Australian story 2020. Finalist best cruise story 2023. Finalist travel writer of the year 2020, 2023. Finalist for best Australian story over 1000 words 2024.
My science background and curiosity combines to offer unique insights for sustainable, cultural and nature-based travel and environment writing.
